Funding

Securing funding for Primary Immunodeficiency (PID) treatments can be a complex process. We’ve mapped out the journey to help our patients and their families navigate the path toward receiving Intravenous Immunoglobulin (IVIG) Treatment.

Phase 1

Patient

Preparation

Patients are to complete required paper work (including application for indigent status) and to request funds.

Phase 2

Identifying & Securing Funds

Patients can tap into various "Sources of Funds" to cover the high costs of treatment. Our community frequently coordinates with LGUs, Senators and Congressman, Charitable Organizations (e.g., Red Cross), Office of the President or Vice President.

An interview will then be conducted before claiming cash or securing a Guarantee Letter to the hospital.

Phase 3

Hospital Facility
& Treatment

With funding secured, a patient can proceed to a partner medical facility to begin care.

Treatment is primarily conducted at the Philippine General Hospital (PGH) for both outpatients and inpatients, or other Government Hospitals for inpatient care.

Funds are typically applied toward laboratory tests and other medical expenses incurred during the stay.

Part of this is an (IVIG) treatment ensuring the patient receives the life-saving antibodies they need.
